The LTPC is very excited to finally be on Instagram! Find us @lonetreephotoclub.
The main goal of the LTPC Instagram is to create awareness of the club, potentially gain members, and promote current members work. After all, we work hard on our images and this is another avenue to get that work out there and seen. We will feature images daily from club members.
Special thanks to Darren White, who will manage the account. Please direct all inquiries to him either via a direct message on Instagram or via email (drwhite75@yahoo.com). Darren has many years experience working with social media to get the most out of our club page. He will weed out all the bots, spammers, and such so that the page stays very organic and on track with what we have envisioned for the club.
Social media works best when it’s a two-way street. We kindly ask that if you are a member of the club using Instagram and want to have your work featured on the LTPC Instagram, that you follow us and we will follow you back. If you are a member of the club but do not have Instagram, that is fine too. Please simply send Darren the image you would like shared and a description, along with your website if you have one, or your facebook page. The goal is to promote the work of our members in whatever helpful way we can.
How it works best for both of us: On Instagram @lonetreephotoclub will comment and like your images in a genuine manner, we will ask to share, repost or feature your image on our club page. If you accept and give permission then the image will go into the queue. Once shared, we will tag you so that you get a notification and others will have a clickable link back to your page. We will also share the image on our stories that stay up for 24 hours. Once you see that we have featured your image in our stories, it would be great if you could add that to your stories showing your followers that your image was featured, saying something as simple as “Thank you @lonetreephotoclub for the share.” By tagging @lonetreephotoclub this will give your followers a chance to check out our club page, and those that are local may find the LTPC interesting enough to join!
The club page started on December 3, 2020 and in 3 days had 60 followers. We are initially looking for 3 images to share each day (one in the morning, afternoon and late evening). By keeping the page active, it keeps us in the view of our followers. We will drop down to an optimal 2 posts a day after we get 100 followers. We are looking for all kinds of images. Our group is a very diverse group of photographers and that’s a great thing. We want people to know we are not just a landscape or portrait group.
Please consider following @lonetreephotoclub if you haven’t already, respond to requests to have your image featured, and by all means, if you have an image you feel strongly about that you want featured, send it to Darren. We want your work to represent you the best it can as well.
