LTPC member Roger Frame presents “A Photo Tour of the Galapagos Islands” on Wednesday, May 21st, 2025 at 7pm, Lone Tree Civic Center. Join remotely via Zoom. Arrive 30 minutes early for social time, to visit with your fellow club members and meet some new folks. The program is 7pm – 9pm.
Charles Darwin’s theory On the Origin of Species was inspired by the vast variety of animals found on the Galapagos Islands. Some are rarely found elsewhere. Why are so many animals found on a few islands, but not on others close by? Why aren’t these animals afraid of humans (which makes it ideal for photographers?) When is the best time to visit? These questions will be explored as photos are presented of Galapagos Island animals in their natural habitat in the air, on land, and under water.
